Background: The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Chemical Biological Center (CBC) is a subordinate activity of the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC). The center is responsible for the conduct and management of research, development, and life-cycle engineering support of defensive systems.The Center’s mission is to develop, integrate, sustain, and dispose of decisive technology-enabled capabilities. Requirements include: (1) Developing materials and technologies for the future; (2) Transitioning technology out of the laboratories and into the hands of the warfighter and customers in the shortest time possible; (3) Completing systems engineering, assessment and analysis; and (4) Providing life-cycle engineering services to development and sustainment efforts.
Position Overview: Contract Program Manager to oversee and manage technical programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, development, testing, or evaluation environments. This role requires the ability to manage complex projects within a technical environment and ensure they meet organizational objectives.
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage programs within research, development, test, and evaluation organizations.
- Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery in a technical setting.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure program success.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in research, development, test, or evaluation environments.
- 5 years of experience in program management in a technical environment.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Position contingent on contract award.
