Transportation Leader - Bridge or Highway

Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Transportation Leader who will be responsible for the professional, technical, management, marketing, administrative and financial aspects of the Bridge and Highway Group. Expand Colliers Engineering & Design Bridge and Highway services into clients such as TxDOT and municipal government.

The Regional Transportation Leader shall perform duties in support of the discipline and region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, managerial direction and guidance for the region to achieve established goals.
  • Directs overall productivity, profitability, client satisfaction and quality of work.
  • Responsible for discipline marketing and business development of new and existing clients.
  • Actively involved in the cross selling of all company services.
  • Responsible for billings and collections.
  • Works with the geographic discipline leaders on resource sharing and staffing needs.
  • Responsible for regional training and staff development.
  • Monitor staff utilization regularly and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Complies with and ensures others compliance with all CED policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Health and Safety Program.
  • Travels (via car or airplane) regularly to the various regions and offices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 20+ years of subsequently improving leadership and managerial experience in the industry with 10 or more years of Bridge Engineering experience.
  • Texas Professional licensure in area of expertise.
  • Prior TxDOT related experience is highly preferred.

  • Relationship Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships which support the success of the Company.
  • Business Acumen- Knowledgeable in best practices, trends, information, and other influences that affect CED and the environment in which we work, to maintain our position as an industry leader.
  • Communication- Possess and demonstrate the ability, skills, and initiative to exchange information effectively and efficiently.
  • Program and Project Management- Possess and demonstrate the ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols and/or staff to achieve the desired results of specific projects and/or programs.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
