Wrench Group is seeking a dynamic Privacy Data Analyst responsible for executing the Data Privacy and Protection Strategy as led by the Director and key Wrench Group executives, contributing to the development of privacy controls, privacy policies, standards, guidelines, and operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

The Analyst role is focused on carrying out essential privacy management operations working across Wrench Group and it's affiliates to monitor and assess internal compliance with data privacy requirements and Company policy. The analyst performs related work as assigned.

Additionally, the Analyst owns review schedules and/or coordination with other business areas for the application of privacy policies, development/management of documents, contribution to data processing agreements, development and execution of training schedules, and other assigned related duties.

What Will I Do?
  • Provide support on privacy, data protection, and data governance issues as they relate to the evaluation of business initiatives, processes, and applications within Wrench Group
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement and embed privacy-by-design principles
  • Research and respond to privacy-related questions and requests for onsite audits
  • Fulfill data rights requests (DSAR) in coordination with corporate departments and locations
  • Maintain privacy program documentation, including policies, notices, and standard operating procedures
  • Raise privacy awareness and acumen, sustaining the data privacy and protection awareness training capability
  • Maintain visibility into emerging privacy issues, including US and international privacy laws and regulations that may impact Wrench Group
  • Maintain and operate Data Privacy and Protection Management software and tools
  • Participates in vendor onboarding, tool stand-up, and rollouts
  • Assists in Company training activities for new processes, procedures and/or tools
  • Ensures work is of a quality standard and that processes are followed per those established by the Company
  • Responsible for handling data privacy requests from data subjects, including customers and employees, coordinating with other departments and locations where necessary; serve as main point of contact for ensuring our DSAR and other data privacy request processes run smoothly
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the Company’s data privacy and protection program, and related policies, procedures, documentation, and communication materials
  • Performs research as requested to support overall program requirements
  • Assist Wrench Group departments to further adopt privacy by design into all products and processes
  • Support and guide the business in complying with privacy requirements, including carrying out risk assessments for data transfers, vendors, and project rollouts as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of privacy controls for Wrench Group’s data privacy control framework
  • Implement tactical, measurable, and scalable processes for demonstrating privacy compliance
  • Partner with the business to map and analyze data flows and ensure data policies are properly applied across the Company
  • Receive and respond to privacy-related inquiries and complaints (via internet, mail and phone) and handle communications in a professional and courteous manner per documented processes
  • Work with the key partners in information security, data governance, legal and business areas to address privacy-related inquiries and complaints, review business initiatives and assess potential gaps in privacy and data protection compliance
  • Assist with conducting privacy impact assessments on new and significantly modified systems, services, devices, applications, and information repositories that process personal information
  • Assist with developing and maintaining privacy policies and procedures, notices, compliance materials, and employee training and awareness programs
  • Form strong collaborative relationships with Wrench Group IT and business teams
  • Efficiently manages multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Do I Have What It Takes?
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Prefer a minimum of two years of combined experience in compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, corporate or regulatory investigations, and/or business analysis
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and Power Query with the ability to cleanse data, create pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to differentiate critical data from the noise in projects, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to create and analyze metrics to identify trends, gaps and issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in high pressure situations
  • Organized, responsive, and persistent with good follow-through
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and able to conduct research on constantly evolving data privacy standards
  • Effectively balance competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy operating both independently and cross-functionally
  • Be an emerging subject matter expert in data privacy laws, legislation, regulations, policies, standards, with a desire to build skills providing practical, concise privacy knowledge to help Wrench Group teams
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., CCPA, CPRA) and security frameworks (CIS 20, NIST)
