General Manager

You will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility, focusing on the management of staff and ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of products.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production operations and ensure they align with company standards and goals.
• Implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and product quality.
• Cultivate a bilingual communication environment to foster relations with a diverse workforce.
• Monitor and manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
• Replace and manage the transition of key managerial roles as required.
• Liaise with different departments to ensure smooth operations across the company.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement operational strategies and goals.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently.
• Maintain an open line of communication with staff and upper management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Food Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the fresh produce industry or food production sector, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in the food production industry.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage complex operational budgets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
