The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and overall upkeep of the organization's industrial machinery, equipment, and facilities. This position requires availability for emergencies and scheduled overtime repairs and may also require working rotating shifts.
Safely perform industrial mechanic work, including construction, repairs, maintenance, installation, modification, inspections, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.Work on pumps, blowers, compressors, bearings, valves, heat exchangers, hydraulic systems, boilers, pressure vessels, storage tanks, machine shop tools, and other industrial equipment.
Perform general maintenance tasks related to building facilities, plumbing, HVAC, and lighting.
Take precision measurements, including laser alignment.
Use the AE Plant Maintenance Module to maintain records of maintenance activities.
Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and relevant departments to understand and address maintenance needs timely, and improve equipment reliability.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
Complete assigned work safely and per Kuehne's timeline and standards, identifying any deviations and providing input on areas for improvement.
Follow and maintain 5S organization and housekeeping best practices. Properly use, store, and maintain tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
Actively participate in all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security training, policies, and programs.
Review and follow all safety rules, procedures, and practices.
Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
