Responsibilities•This position is responsible for overseeing the equipment, staff and processes on the production floor•Manage the production team and oversee scheduling and day-to-day production activities•The Shift Supervisor is primarily in charge of ensuring the production line is operational and maintains the ongoing production of products•They are also responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise•Develop & involve your team, providing direction, training, controlled delegation, support & trust•Aim to maximize their ownership and contribution to the business•Allow them a voice to contribute•Supports the Production Manager and assists the team by focusing on production, quality, tracking, and managing dependencies•Works closely with the other teammates, employees, and producers in gathering information and tracking progress against orders•Develop and track against a production plan reflective of the defined project goals as set by the Scheduler•Anticipates bottlenecks, clarifies project priorities, identifies risks, and escalates issues that cannot be internally resolved•Clearly defines all workflows, communicates documented processes, and ensures all practices are being refined and tuned with learnings•Provides regular status reports and capacity plan updates with the operational team•Identifies the best tools and technologies to help manage workflow and optimizes their implementation and deployment•Identifies processes that can improve project efficiency and act as a change agent for them•Contributes to long- and short-form integration proposals and topline concepts•Manages timelines for integrated production flow and tracking documents to support workmanship and quality is up to date•Support the team on all integrations and proposals•Train, develop and support other leads with technical knowledge and experience•Enforcing all safety policies on the production floor•Creating and overseeing employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability•SUPERVISIORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct supervisory responsibilities to production employees•Work with the Scheduler, Warehouse/Finishing, Lab, and Quality Engineer with the organization's policies and applicable laws to direct and support production•Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, and resolving problems•Maintain and execute employee evaluations, feedback, and disciplinary on a timely basis•QAUALIFICATIONS: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear•The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
