HVAC Design Specialist

Pay Range: 55,000 – 65,000/yr.
Hours: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday

What You Will Do:
As the HVAC Design Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with installation, dispatch, warehouse, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate customer service, following company standards and procedures.
- Collaborating with customers on duct designs to meet their unique HVAC requirements.
- Directing and supervising the HVAC installation team to ensure accurate and efficient HVAC designs.
- Conducting site visits with homeowners to assess heat loads and energy needs.
- Utilizing specialized software including Wrightsoft, Energy Gauge Software, and JLink for design and energy calculations.
- Creating duct drawings and designs for permitting purposes.
- Reviewing permit plans to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborating with service technicians to obtain heat load data for accurate estimates and quotes.
- Demonstrating proficiency and minimizing errors in the design process.
- Travel throughout Central Florida is expected for this position.
What You Need:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Efficient duct plans review.
- Quick turnaround on heat and energy calculations.
- Proficiency in design software usage such as Wrightsoft, Energy Gauge Software, and JLink for design and energy calculations.
- EPA Universal
- State Certifications: Home Energy Rater; RESNET a plus
- A minimum of five (3) years of HVAC residential service experience, including diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of air conditioning and heating systems.
- At least three years (3) of HVAC Service Technician experience with the ability to train others.
- Physical dexterity to occasionally lift and move 100 pounds or more, averaging 4 times a week.
