Title: Event Sales Manager
Job Purpose
The Event Sales Manager is a driving force behind the success and growth of Puttery’s event sales program. This role is responsible for prospecting and securing corporate and social event opportunities, converting leads into successful bookings, and ensuring seamless coordination with venue teams to create unforgettable guest experiences.The Event Sales Manager also plays a key role in maximizing revenue through strategic upselling, building strong community relationships, and contributing to Puttery’s overall profitability and reputation as a premier entertainment destination.
Responsibilties- Manage the complete event sales process, from initial booking to communicating event details to venue management, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for every client.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to Drive Shack Inc. Corporate Office, outlining performance metrics and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new event business opportunities in both corporate and social markets.
- Collaborate with Operations Teams and National/Regional Sales Directors to enhance guest experiences, improve profitability, and address operational opportunities.
- Design and implement programs that foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and enjoyment.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the local market to strategically target corporate and social event opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth through effective upselling strategies and value-added offerings.
- Deliver exceptional guest service by ensuring interactions are immediate, friendly, and personalized.
- Build rapport with Puttery guests, promoting a welcoming and efficient guest experience.
- Represent Puttery in the community by participating in local organizations and attending networking events, trade shows, and expos at least once per month to expand the company’s presence.
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment by upholding and enforcing company safety standards and policies consistently and fairly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the department and organizational objectives.
Additional Information:
Qualifications and Skills- High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in administrative or sales support roles; event sales experience preferred.
- Previous experience in food and beverage, hospitality, or event coordination is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with event management software (e.g., Tripleseat, POS systems).
- Goal-oriented and high-energy individual with a passion for group sales and event planning.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required to support events.
- This is a full-time salary position.
- The role demands flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client meetings and events.
- Must possess the ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure, demonstrating effective problem-solving and decision-making.
- Occasional physical activity may be required, depending on event needs and on-site responsibilities.
Compensation
$60,000 - $70,000 (Plus Commission).
