Job Description
Daily Responsibilities:- SME shall function as the field quality assurance inspector for MEP/HVAC systems.
- Building System Commissioning - Provide Cx program oversight and coordination of the Design-Builder's Cx Plan. Work to promote project's achievement of system performance in compliance with the intent of design basis.
- The SME shall assist in cooperation with APSI's CxA (Commissioning Agent) to provide effective oversight.
- Technical Assistance may be requested outside of area of expertise when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing meetings as required through the commissioning process to

The Successful Applicant
Required Qualifications:The SME shall possess professional registration as a mechanical engineer and have a minimum of seven (7) years specialized experience in their disciplines.
An engineering degree from an accredited college or university (advanced degrees will be viewed more favorably).
Ability to pass a US government security background clearance (possessing a current, unexpired clearance will be viewed more favorably).
Preferred Qualifications:- GSA Courthouse Experience or Equivalent MEP Scope/Commissioning
- Commissioning Experience and Industry Certification(s)
o Experience w/ ASHRAE Guideline 0-2005 The Commissioning Process
o GSA Total Building Commissioning Guide
o The Whole Building Design Guide
- The ideal candidate will have very good organizational skills, be able to communicate effectively with the general contractor, designers, and the owner alike, and be able to work with the digital tools of the present day for communication and documentation.
