AWS is hiring a Program Manager to drive strategic planning, process improvement and execution on key projects for the AWS US Federal business. This role supports the US Federal Strategy team, which is responsible for strategic planning and execution for the business.

The US Federal Strategy team ensures all initiatives are carried out with precision, from high-level strategy formulation to the day-to-day management of executive engagements, communications, and special projects.

Key job responsibilities
  • Design and drive ongoing operational review of the US Federal Strategy team. This involves envisioning current state improvements and developing future state operating models.
  • Design and manage processes to develop strategic objectives, budgets and execution plans for key customer programs and initiatives.
  • Lead the project management of strategic initiatives. This will include identifying new mechanism opportunities, leveraging data and prioritizing based on goals, business needs, and business impact.

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas
  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
