We are currently hiring for multiple positions in our After School Program at Mettawee Community School in West Pawlet, VT, for the 2024-25 school year.
JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-ExemptPOSITIONS AVAILABLE: Substitutes, Assistants, Supervisors, Directors
PAY: $14.01 $17 per hour (depending on role, qualifications, and experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Engaging Activities: Facilitate fun, hands-on activities based on our Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering everything from fitness and STEAM to academic projects, arts, and more! Youll also assist with homework when needed.Create a Positive Environment: Foster a safe, healthy, and highly enjoyable atmosphere where children can thrive and grow. Be the role model they admire every day.
Stay Connected with Families: Use the Playground App to keep parents and family members informed with updates and moments that matter.Follow Guidelines: Ensure that all activities and operations align with state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the host schools rules.
Administrative Duties (For Some Roles): Certain positions may involve management tasks, such as maintaining attendance records, overseeing registrations, and ensuring proper staffing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must be 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.One year of experience working with children under 13 is preferred but not required were more interested in your passion and potential!
A background check, including fingerprinting and references, is required.
Must be medically cleared by a doctor to perform job duties and free of any communicable diseases, including TB.
Youre friendly, warm, and upbeat, with excellent people skills whether youre interacting with kids, parents, or team members. Youre professional, reliable, and always on time.
Youre prepared to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs., and keep up with the energy of active children.
