We are offering a contract to hire position for a logistics clerk in Laurel, MD. As a Logistics Clerk, you will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support in our warehouse, managing data entry tasks, handling order entry, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee data entry tasks into excel for maintaining accurate records
- Handle order entries and ensure their accuracy and promptness
- Manage the printing of labels for inventory and shipment purposes
- Maintain an accurate inventory count and report any discrepancies
- Prepare for the busy season by ensuring all tasks are handled efficiently
- Essential physical tasks include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Monitor and manage packages as part of role expansion
- Provide customer service by answering inbound calls and resolving inquiries
- Maintain accurate shipping documentation and records
- Utilize CRM and UPS Shipping tools as part of daily tasks.
- Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
- Experience in answering inbound calls efficiently and professionally
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and procedures
- Familiarity with UPS shipping processes
- Understanding of record labels and their significance in logistics
- Proficiency in numeric data entry, ensuring accuracy and speed
