Responsibilities will include...- Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of the machining and fabricating departments, with a focus on CNC lathes and mills.
- Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by implementing and maintaining robust health and safety protocols.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards to meet or exceed customer expectations and industry regulations.
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce overall production costs.
- Identify and lead initiatives for process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.
- Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Utilize and navigate ERP or MRP systems to streamline production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role within the machining industry.
- Strong background in CNC lathe and mill operations.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in quality control, delivery planning, and scheduling.
- Cost management skills with a focus on optimizing resources.
- Proficiency in process improvement and implementing efficiency measures.
- Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve production goals.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems.
