Senior Accountant

Company: A Technology/SAAS Business

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with extensive experience in conducting analysis to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough background in accounting and be skilled at creating and analyzing financial reports and ensuring legal compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the Senior Accountant’s day-to-day work.
2. Reviewing and preparing financial statements, and directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
3. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
4. Conduct detailed, analytically driven projects to balance sheet accounts.
5. Offer support to the finance team in budgeting and other financial processes such as cash forecasting.
6. Improve systems and procedures and initiate necessary corrective actions.
7. Analyzing trends, interpret complex financial data, and make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
8. Review financial anomalies and suggest appropriate corrections.

Qualifications:

1. BA in Accounting or Finance; MAcc preferred.
2. 5+ years in a similar position within a tech or SAAS company.
3. Solid knowledge of GAAP and regulations.
4. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
5. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
6. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
