We are seeking a Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join our remote team. This role, based in San Jose, California, offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Corporate Tax Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with the handling of various tax-related duties, working closely with different clients, and utilizing a range of software tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Leveraging your experience with the Avalara AvaTax system and return preparation process.
• Managing multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring all needs are met and issues are resolved.
• Working effectively under pressure to meet internal and external monthly deadlines.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and fostering a spirit of teamwork within the remote team.
• Utilizing your advanced proficiency in Excel to handle tasks such as pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Working with clients who use different software, including but not limited to Quickbooks and NetSuite.
• Leveraging your sales tax experience to ensure accurate and efficient handling of all tax-related matters.
• Processing customer credit applications in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Accurately maintaining customer credit records. • Proficiency with Sales Tax practices and procedures
• Expertise in Tax Accounting with a focus on corporate taxation
• Strong knowledge and application of Excel Formulas
• Experience with Quickbooks Online for effective financial management
• Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite Technologies for streamlined business processes
