Lead a technical practice of delivery methodologies, support practices, and direct team management to deploy and improve Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for automotive clients. Manage a team that supports engineering services to ensure that customer needs are achieved.
Serve as a liaison between customers, sales team, and other Rockwell Automation entities for assigned projects. Assign resources and maintain targets for the execution of projects by collaborating with project managers. Lead delivery methodologies, support practices, and deploy manufacturing execution systems (MES) for automotive clients.
Maintain and enhance deployed MES solutions at customer locations to grow the solution footprint. Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reports to ensure projects are commercially profitable. Create estimates, revenue/cost forecasts, and financial reports to track and meet department utilization targets.

Improve margins on assigned projects. Negotiate change orders with customers. Report to the professional services manager. Anticipate, mitigate, and remediate project, resource, schedule, and quality risks. Become a customer advisor to support the business and customers in strategic operational initiatives.

Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, or a related field, and 8 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a masters degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of related work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in:

Systems, software, and process automation; Automotive controls; Software-as-a-Service implementation and post-implementation support in a manufacturing environment; Automotive, tire, battery, or other discrete manufacturing; Attending customer sites in a manufacturing setting for discrete manufacturing plants; and

Implementing manufacturing execution systems (MES) in a discrete manufacturing environment.

The position requires travel to various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the U.S. When not required on-site, telecommuting is permitted 2 days per week.
