Gray Construction is looking for a Receptionist to join the team in our Atlanta office!

What we expect… (Essential Functions)
  • Capable of operating a PBX or multi-line telephone system.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
  • Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitors visitor access and issues parking passes when required.
  • Routes incoming faxes to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitors the switchboard and alerts the IT Helpdesk if the switchboard appears to be malfunctioning.
  • Changes the night voice greeting when the office is closed for a holiday to explain the office will be closed.
  • Coordinate with IT changing the greeting after the holiday back to the general greeting.
  • Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies for area.
  • Prepares monthly schedule for support coverage of breaks.
  • Maintain and update (as necessary) the Receptionist Guidebook.
  • Assists marketing and other departments with various filing, etc. that can be accomplished at the front desk with the main duties listed above always performed first.

We are looking for a brand ambassador to create a welcoming and memorable experience for all visitors, callers, and team members. As the first in-person touchpoint of Gray’s Atlanta office, this new team member must enjoy interacting with people.

From a cheerful voice at the switchboard to welcoming guests into the office, our ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, pleasant demeanor, service-minded, professionalism, and capable of multi-tasking.

The new team member is required to have High School degree and one (1) year of experience in a similar role. Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize multi-line phone, word processing, spreadsheets, software, and e-mail.

Must be physically present in the Atlanta office and able to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 5 PM.

Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.
