COMSEC Engineer
Overview:
BlueWater Federal is looking for a COMSEC Engineer to support our Department of Energy program in downtown DC.
The effort will focus on a wide range of IT services through migration to the Intelligence Community (IC) information sharing, secure cloud-based operational environment, the Intelligence Community’s Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE) along with an array of technical expertise and analytical support which allows DOE and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) to detect, protect, mitigate, and counter hostile threats directed against DOE networks and critical national assets.
Responsibilities:
- Define requirements to design/redesign and deploy Heterogenous Network Environments (Cloud Computing Network & On-Premises)
- Use COMSEC Monitoring/Inventory Tools such as GEM-X and GEMONE
- Implement, upgrade, configure network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
- Implement Automation best practices (Python/Ansible)
- Provide analysis and recommendations for the continuous improvement of cloud network and security
- Comply with configuration management, change management and other policy management documentation requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- Must have 10+ years of COMSEC experience
- Extensive routing and switching experience configuring Cisco and Juniper platforms
- Extensive knowledge of Cloud Computing technologies (AWS, GovCloud, C2S)
- Experience troubleshooting complex layer 2 and layer 3 issues; Project Management tracking tools such as JIRA
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance; highly desired is a TS with SSBI within last 2 years or Q clearance or SCI.
