We are offering a contract to full-time employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry located in Pell City, Alabama. This role involves performing a variety of accounting functions, with a focus on general ledger management, and utilizing software like SAP in a manufacturing setting.

• Accurately process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up to date.
• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
• Utilize SAP or similar ERP systems for efficient financial management.
• Actively participate in the month-end close process.
• Work within a manufacturing environment, applying relevant industry knowledge to accounting practices.
• Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in conducting Bank Reconciliations
• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger management
• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with SAP software for accounting processes or a similar ERP system
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry
