Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:

• The Occupational Therapist will design and implement individualized therapy plans to support patients with mental health challenges in regaining independence and improving daily living skills. This role involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and measurable progress.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and develop therapy plans tailored to patients' psychological and physical needs.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to enhance social and work-related skills.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes, adjusting plans as needed.
• Provide training to caregivers on patient support during and after therapy.
• Recommend environmental modifications to aid patient recovery and independence.

Qualifications:

• Active NYS Occupational Therapy license required.
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Minimum of 2 years of mental health and group therapy experience.
