The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a proactive approach, and a keen understanding of financial procedures to help recover outstanding debts in a professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and recover outstanding debts from individuals or businesses.
• Contact debtors via phone, email, and mail to negotiate payment arrangements.
• Analyse financial situations to determine the best course of action for debt recovery.
• Work with legal teams to initiate legal action when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and communications.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve collection strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and legal requirements related to debt collection.

Requirements:

• Little or no experience in debt collection, credit control, or a related field.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations concerning debt collection.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in finance, business, or a related field is a plus).
