This position is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and managing onsite construction engineering activities for heavy highway projects varying in size to ensure quality and cost effectiveness. Supporting NCDOT projects $50M+, including improvements, widening, and new highway construction.

Experience with bridges, structures, earthwork, water/ sewer/ storm utilities, and asphalt paving is preferred.

Responsibilities:Acquire, organize, review and distribute project submittalsMaintain Plan Drawings and RevisionsCreate and maintain all required Project LogsPerform Material Take-OffsCommunicate with the owner and client representativesCalculate pricing and issue contracts and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliersSchedule subcontractor work and supplier material deliveriesMaintain a highly organized work area and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWrite reports, business correspondence, and project documentsPresent information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees of the organizationRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
