Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a leader in the construction equipment industry that is hiring for a Senior Operations Manager! They are looking for a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to lead their sales and operations teams at their Erie, PA branch.
The ideal Senior Operations Manager candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities, capable of fostering a growth-oriented environment. You will have full P& L responsibility, driving revenue growth, controlling costs, and managing budgets to meet or exceed financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, mentor, and provide strategic direction to sales and operation teams.
- Oversee the full P& L responsibilities of the branch including top-line revenue, cost control, and budget development.
- Meet with department heads daily to provide direction and set expectations.
- Monitor key performance indicators and overall financial performance of branch, taking corrective actions as required to stay on budget.
- Ensure all departments are working to their full potential while maintaining company safety policies.
- Act as the Quality Control expert, interacting with customers at the rental counter or through in-person visits to customer construction sites or corporate offices.
- Conduct daily audits in all departments to ensure employees understand our company culture and expectations.
- Hold weekly meetings with departments to advance the company experience.
- Conduct an all-branch meeting on a quarterly basis to provide current branch financial and operational goal updates, and communicate new goals and expectations.
- Manage sales teams, including conducting one-on-ones, ride alongs, joint customer meetings, team meetings, and holding effective weekly sales meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the manufacturing, construction, or military industries.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- P& L management experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and budgets, while controlling operational costs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire team members and build strong customer relationships.
- A problem solver and strategic thinker, capable of navigating complex challenges and driving results.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
