Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Montour Falls, NY. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities based on physician referrals.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
• Provide speech, language, and swallowing therapy tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes using EPIC EMR.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on therapy techniques to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to speech therapy students and rehab aides.
• Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, condition changes, or physician recommendations.
• Adhere to New York state regulations, ASHA guidelines, and hospital policies to ensure ethical and safe practice.
• Participate in community awareness programs, workshops, and educational sessions on speech and language disorders.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Active New York State (NYS) SLP License.
• BLS Certification.
