Senior Business Analyst (People Data Mart)

Robert Half is looking for a Business Analyst focused on Data Warehousing to support a large Workday implementation for a Tax and Accounting Firm based out of Seattle, WA!

This BA/Analyst will play a critical role from both a business and technical perspective – supporting a large migration/implementation that will impact the enterprise.

In this role you will:

  • Perform typical Business Analyst (BA) tasks, including gathering and documenting: Requirements, User Stories, Workflows, and Workday Workbooks
  • Collaborate with the Business SME and Developer to understand and contribute to the current People Data Mart.
  • Lead the data gathering and mapping processes during the migration from SQL Server to Snowflake, aligning it with the Workday implementation.
  • Participate in Power BI report development, working with the business to enable report generation post-migration.
  • Support HRIS implementations, with a focus on Workday, by managing user stories, workflows, and performing UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  • Liaise with the HSM, Payroll, and Lite Benefits teams to ensure smooth integration with the new system interfaces.
  • Define and map legacy system data to the new system, ensuring smooth transmission and accurate representation in the data mart.
  • Work closely with teams to align data from UKG and Workday, ensuring a seamless integration and presentation within the systems.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant IT experience.
  • OR Associate’s degree (AA) with 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
  • OR High School Diploma or GED with 7+ years of relevant IT experience.

Experience:

  • Strong experience in Business Analysis (BA) or Business Systems Analysis (BSA) in HRIS systems, specifically with data marts and data mapping.
  • Prior experience with Workday (preferred) or similar HR systems.
  • Proficiency in data mapping from legacy systems to new platforms, preferably to a data mart.
  • Experience with SQL or TSQL queries (nice to have).
  • Experience working with Snowflake, Power BI, and data warehousing is required.
  • Knowledge of HCM systems like Workday and UKG is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with data migrations and HRIS implementations, preferably involving Snowflake and Workday.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and workflows.
  • Familiarity with creating Power BI reports.
