Overview:
Ensemble Arts Philadelphia is looking for a talented Production Cook. The Production Cook will be a part of the Culinary Kitchen Team and will assist with all kitchen prep.
This role will pay a hourly of $16 to $19.

This position will remain open until Dec 31, 2024.
Responsibilities:
Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control.Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors.
Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment.
Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking.
Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issues.
Knowledge of Health Department food safety and sanitation standards.
Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to the recipe index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met.
Maintain a high level of communication, understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items, and keep lines of dialogue open and relevant to service.
Answer, report to, and follow instructions and direction from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership.
Properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met.
Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene always meet food safety standards and regulations.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a catering/restaurant prep cook or prep cook in a high-end, high-volume, fast-paced kitchen (or comparable).
Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors.
Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment.Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking.
Ability to work independently, resourcefully, and proactively solve issues.
Assist team with events when needed.
Ability to lift, pull, push, carry up to 30 pounds/ stand for extended periods of time.
