Receptionist

We are on the lookout for a Receptionist to join our team in RONKONKOMA, New York. As part of our team, your main role will be to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This role is in the industry of customer service and administration, providing a key point of contact for all enquiries from the public or customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.
Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude. • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent educational certification
- Proven experience in a receptionist or similar customer service role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality
- Punctuality and reliability in fulfilling assigned tasks
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and photocopiers
- Experience in handling general administrative duties including filing, typing, copying, and data entry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
