We are on the lookout for a Receptionist to join our team in RONKONKOMA, New York. As part of our team, your main role will be to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This role is in the industry of customer service and administration, providing a key point of contact for all enquiries from the public or customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing.

Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude. • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent educational certification
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or similar customer service role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality
  • Punctuality and reliability in fulfilling assigned tasks
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and photocopiers
  • Experience in handling general administrative duties including filing, typing, copying, and data entry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
