Summary:

TRANSPORTATION SUPERVISOR STARTING AT 54K

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet transportation, operations and production goals
• Direct delivery drivers in transportation services, such as moving, storing, and delivering quality product to customers
• Confer with supervisors, customers, contractors and other personnel to exchange information to solve problems regarding freight flow
• Monitor and ensure proper performance and use of vehicles and material
• Plan and establish transportation routes
• Ensure all DOT and company regulations are adhered to by the workforce
• Conduct safety training on and off-site locations; travel may be required 10% of time
• Monitor and coordinate maintenance
• Promote and manage safety
• Other tasks as assigned by the Transportation manager

Requirements:

Qualifications include:

• Working knowledge and experience in a logistics role in applying principles and methods of moving goods by road, including the relative costs and benefits
• Experience in motivating, developing and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
• Knowledge and experience with Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and regulations and ensuring the workforce is in compliance with such laws
• Strong understanding of interstates and highway systems in the Western States' regions and potential obstacles that could delay, damage, or impede timely delivery
• Software and computer skills, such as Google Applications, PC Miler, Samsara, Lytx and other relevant logistic systems
• High school diploma or equivalent is required

Nice to Haves:

• Two or more years of Transportation Logistics experience
