Background: The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Chemical Biological Center (CBC) is a subordinate activity of the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC). The center is responsible for the conduct and management of research, development, and life-cycle engineering support of defensive systems.The Center’s mission is to develop, integrate, sustain, and dispose of decisive technology-enabled capabilities. Requirements include: (1) Developing materials and technologies for the future; (2) Transitioning technology out of the laboratories and into the hands of the warfighter and customers in the shortest time possible; (3) Completing systems engineering, assessment and analysis; and (4) Providing life-cycle engineering services to development and sustainment efforts.
Position Overview: Experienced Engineering Controls Certification Specialist to perform engineering controls certification with a focus on hazardous work protection. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and a deep understanding of hood certification practices.
Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform certification of engineering controls, with a focus on hazardous work protection.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols for engineering controls.
- Conduct inspections and certifications for hood systems and related equipment.
- Document and report on certification processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Technical Degree above a high school diploma.
- 6 years of experience in the field of engineering controls certification.
- Position contingent on contract award.
