Responsibilities**
**Altec** is hiring a **Staff Accountant** in **Birmingham, AL (Corporate Location).** This is an entry level position for associates that maintain financial records and complete transactions accurately.

**Responsibilities**
Perform fundamental accounting responsibilities including but not limited to: Preparing journal entries
Reconciling general ledger accountsPreparing financial schedules
Assisting with audit fieldwork
Ability to work effectively with the accounting team
Ability to manage time and prioritize individual workload to meet deadlines
Resolve assigned issues with support
All other duties as assigned
**Education, Experience, and Skills Required**
High School Diploma or GEDBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Consideration may be given to an exceptional internal candidate with two years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree with Accounting leadership approval.
