The role of the Production Scheduler and Demand Planner involves creating and maintaining a production schedule to meet customer demand for Formulife's products. This includes developing forecast models for raw materials required for production.

The Production Scheduler will work closely with the sales and customer service departments to ensure timely and complete fulfillment of customer orders. Additionally, they will be responsible for identifying sources of data, selecting appropriate forecasting and modeling tools, and integrating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from various departments such as sales, finance, and procurement.

In the absence of the Production Scheduler, the VP of Supply Chain, will oversee the daily duties and responsibilities regarding operation workflow and adherence of the SOPs and c GMPs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and maintain the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure that production schedules are met.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the forecasting and supply chain management process to ensure operational and financial goals are achieved.
  • Develop forecasting strategies and plans.
  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments on cost, delivery, and inventory to optimize production.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Food safety standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of c GMPs
  • Ability to manage processes and procedures.
  • Ability to manage team members effectively.
  • Ability to work in an environment with inside/outside extreme temperatures and in noisy environments.
  • Knowledge of production planning systems and software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in production scheduling or a related field
Employee Responsibilities
  • Adhere to c GMP and SOPs.
  • Report any situations that might negatively affect food safety or quality immediately to your supervisor or the QA Department.
  • Ensure food safety and quality are maintained according to company standards.
  • Comply with policies and procedures to prepare and pack products under sanitary conditions that do not expose it to the risk of contamination.
  • Operate and maintain a clean and hygienic standard of operation. Follow Company c GMP’s (Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Policies at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS: If you apply for this position, you must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for an employer-sponsored visa (work permit).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and work with and around a variety of office equipment. Physical demands include a significant amount of time sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and performing tasks that involve fine motor skills such as typing and writing.

Additionally, the demand planner may also need to stand, walk, or lift objects occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e. general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
