As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees.

As a Payroll Specialist Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Gather and analyze data from weekly timesheets, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
- Coordinate with department managers for timely approval of timesheets.
- Accurately enter and review new employee setup information.
- Identify and process registrations for new employee/employer taxes.
- Utilize UKG payroll software for the preparation of bi-weekly payroll.
- Ensure accurate processing of payments for employee payroll, taxes, and benefits.
- Prepare and process payroll journal entries.
- Conduct routine payroll reconciliations.
- Handle queries and issues related to payroll from employees and management effectively.
- Prepare and present various payroll reports as required.
- Other Duties as assigned
The ideal Payroll Specialist candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a related role.
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
- Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must.
- Familiarity with Ceridian software is necessary.
- Experience with IBM AS/400 is desirable.
- Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping System is a plus.
- Expertise in 401k - RRSP Administration is essential.
- Proficiency in executing Accounting Functions is required.
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Capable of managing high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
- Understanding of internal controls
