Water Resources Engineering Associate I
The Opportunity:
RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineering Associate I to join our team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL!
As part of the infrastructure team, this position will utilize production software and develop impact studies, cost analyses, and design requirements; analyze and interpret data; design complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes; prepare complete project documents, engineering analysis, and reports; perform field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects; and perform quality control reviews.This position may also provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
- Basic knowledge of civil engineering design, systems, calculations, along with the application of engineering methods and construction methods and materials
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of Geopak Drainage, Subsurface Utilities Design and Analysis (SUDA) for Open Roads (ORD), HY-8, HEC-RAS, ICPR 4, or SWMM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- EI Certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- EI certification
- Prior internship and/or related engineering experience
- Prior civil engineering experience with an emphasis in water resources
