School Nurse - Health Services Coordinator - NJSCHRN

• Pay: Total stipend of $125,000 annually

Qualifications:

1. Registered Nurse (RN) with school health certification preferred
2. CPR and First Aid certifications
3. Experience in pediatric care or school health services
4. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

Performance Responsibilities:

• Oversee the health needs of students, including administering first aid, managing medical records, and ensuring compliance with state health mandates.
• Conduct routine screenings for common health issues (e.g., vision, hearing, scoliosis) and maintain up-to-date student health records.
• Provide health education and counseling to students on various topics including hygiene, nutrition, and chronic disease management.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students' specific health needs and develop action plans for managing medical conditions at school.
• Respond to health emergencies quickly and effectively, providing immediate care and coordinating with healthcare providers as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized health office and ensure that health supplies and medications are properly stored and tracked.
