Data Analyst

We are seeking a diligent Data Analyst for our team, based in Walnut Creek, California. The role involves auditing data accuracy from numerous sources and necessitates a strong proficiency in Excel and PeopleSoft. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, providing crucial support to our operations through year-end.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis of data derived from multiple systems, including but not limited to PeopleSoft.
• Utilize Excel to import, analyze, and manage large data sets, ensuring the validity and integrity of the data.
• Assist in the compilation and enhancement of Standard Operation Procedures, transitioning them from Excel to Word or Visio.
• Disseminate analyzed data findings to the relevant teams for further action and resolution.
• Stay updated and adapt to recent modifications in PeopleSoft.
• Employ data visualization tools and Informatica to create dashboards for data representation.
• Use Microsoft tools effectively to maintain accurate customer credit records and process credit applications. • Proficient in Data Visualization techniques to present data in a clear, concise manner
• Demonstrable experience with Informatica software for data integration tasks
• Familiarity with Microsoft office suite, especially advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to create meaningful and interactive dashboards to represent complex data
• Experience with PeopleSoft for managing human resources, finances, and other aspects of business
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential
• Effective communication skills to explain complex data in a simple, understandable manner
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
