The AWS Field Experiences (AFX) team owns analytics solutions/infrastructure that enable AWS sales team to obsess over customers and make proactive, data-driven recommendations that position AWS as a strategic business partner in addition to a world-class cloud computing provider.
We are seeking a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Systems Engineer to help evolve and maintain 1P/3P tooling and raise the bar on security, availability, and scalability. Key job responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer you will:- Build/maintain 1P/3P infrastructure and security standards and ensure that the systems adhere to these standards
- Identify and resolve issues, automate and improve repetitive processes, and work closely with the development team to identify operational need
- Become intimately familiar with the architecture of our systems, and be responsible for diving deep into code, while developing solutions for our customers and services
- Drive prioritization of operational issues, and drive automation design & scaling requirements in support of the wider organization.

- 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience with AWS technologies and services or industry certification (AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS SysOps Admin)
- Experience working with business intelligence systems and architecture, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience working in a fast-paced DevOps environment (familiarity with DevOps concepts and lifecycle)
- Strong Windows/Linux debugging and systems analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues
- Experience in designing and scaling the large-scale distributed systems
- Experience working in critical systems and production on-call environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience with networking fundamentals including hands-on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, etc.
