Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supervisor of Production Test Engineering to lead our production test engineering team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the development, implementation, and maintenance of testing procedures, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in production testing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of production test engineers and technicians to achieve operational and professional development goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Set performance objectives and conduct annual performance reviews for team members.
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Production Test Management:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of testing procedures for production processes to ensure the highest quality and reliability of products.
  • Ensure all tests are conducted according to established protocols and standards, and adapt procedures as necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review and approve test plans, procedures, and reports to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze test data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee Environmental Stress Screening requirements and execution
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve testing-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Technical Oversight:
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex testing issues, leveraging expertise to resolve challenges effectively.
  • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operation of all testing equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Evaluate and recommend new testing technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Stay current with advancements in testing technologies and industry trends to enhance the team's capabilities.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing test results, deviations, and corrective actions taken, ensuring clear communication of findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, equipment maintenance, and calibration for accountability and auditing purposes.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, organized, and readily accessible for reference and review.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure and maintain testing equipment and materials, ensuring the availability of necessary resources.
  • Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution, fostering strong working relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on project status.

Qualifications:

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of RF Microwave testing and test equipment (i.e. Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Noise meters, Power meters, etc.)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in production test engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of managing and supervising production test engineering projects, demonstrating strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of testing equipment, methodologies, and best practices for production environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in testing equipment and software, with a strong technical aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including AS9100 standards.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with automated testing systems and data analysis tools, leveraging technology to enhance testing processes.
  • Certification in Quality Assurance or a related field, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency and quality in production processes.
Salary Range: $120,115 - $148,377 (Eatontown NJ) annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
