Job Title: Dental Hygienist / Various Locations Spokane/Eastern Washington

Aspen Personnel Service has been hired by a local medical group to help them find a skilled and compassionate dental hygienist to join their team. As a dental hygienist, you will play a critical role in improving the oral health of their patients.

You will work under the supervision of a dentist to provide a range of preventive and restorative dental services to adults and children. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate dental records and providing oral hygiene instructions to patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer dental cleanings, scaling, and prophylaxis under the guidance of a dentist.
  • Administer fluoride and sealants to teeth to prevent decay.
  • Provide local anesthesia to patients as needed.
  • Administer pain relief medication to patients before dental procedures.
  • Install permanent and temporary dental restorations.
  • Take dental x-rays when necessary.
  • Provide oral hygiene instructions, dietary advice, and information about necessary dental care.
  • Offer guidance on oral hygiene, nutrition, and dental care.
  • Help dental providers and clinical staff with non-hygiene duties, such as sterilization.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of provider productivity standards.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions as instructed by the Dental Director.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and continuing education programs on behalf of the company.
  • Provide patients with the utmost respect and maintain their confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned, such as supporting the companies Mission and Core Values.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program required.
  • Experience in a community dental clinic preferred.
  • Must have a valid hygienist licensure from Washington State Department of Health or Idaho Board of Dentistry required at time of hire.
  • Must be able to secure credentialing through identified agencies (Medicaid, etc.).
  • Must have excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have compassion for patients and be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of surgical and restorative dental assisting required.
  • BLS (CPR/AED) certification for Health Care Provider required.
  • Valid drivers license and insurance required.

Salary:

  • Full Licensure: $86K - $130K annually
  • Limited Licensure: $80 - $115 annually
  • Locum/Part time: $42 - $60 hourly
  • Sign-on Bonus: $2,500 paid on their first paycheck!
