Field Service Diesel Technician
DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Forest Park, GA. will make an impact in the following ways:
+ Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
+ Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
+ Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
+ Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
+ Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
+ Maintain own tools
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
+ Completes complex internal engine repairs
+ Performs engine overhauls unassisted
+ Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
+ Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. **QUALIFICATIONS**
Candidate will need to pass a DOT physical as he will drive a 5500 series service truck. level 2 tech preferred. Tech will need to travel up to 10% of time to support other branches and get training.
DOT:
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- A current valid license is required for this role
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- 3 years driving experience
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
