Manufacturing Quoting Manager - Fremont
The Quoting Manager will oversee the entire quoting process, from the identification of Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to the final delivery of proposals. This role will involve leading a team, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant quotes that meet client expectations and internal standards.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in quoting, estimating, or program management, preferably in a manufacturing or technical industry.
- mathematical skills and proficiency in cost estimation.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 standards and process improvement methodologies is a plus.

responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Oversee and manage the Quoting team, ensuring a productive and safe work environment.
- Address employee issues or grievances promptly and effectively.
- Quote Management:
- Identify and review Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to align with company capabilities and client expectations.
- Manage the entire quoting process, from initiation to finalization.
- Process Improvement:
- Establish and track metrics for quote timelines.
- Evaluate and revise quoting processes to enhance efficiency and compliance with ISO9001 standards.
- Content Development:
- Write, revise, and edit quotes and supporting documents (e.g., executive summaries, cost breakdowns).
- Produce content related to quotes, including documents, tables of content, and visual presentations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other teams to ensure accurate and feasible quotes.
- Ensure proposed projects can be delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Performance Management:
- Drive the team to meet timeline goals (2 days for simple quotes, 5 days for complex, 10 days for intricate).
- Database Management:
- Maintain and oversee the integrity of proposal databases and tracking tools.
