Robert Half - Bookkeeper / Admin

We are offering a contract for a Bookkeeper/Admin role in our CPA firm located in Utica, New York. In this role, you will handle a mix of administrative tasks and bookkeeping responsibilities that ensure our office runs smoothly and our financial records are accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently perform data entry and process customer credit applications
• Manage and update financial records including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Carry out bank reconciliations and ensure financial transactions are accurate
• Provide support to the accounting team with various tasks as needed
• Assist with tax preparation, scanning, and filing processes
• Process documents such as 1099s, Tax Returns, Extensions, notices
• Handle incoming/outgoing mail and shipments and organize them accordingly
• Undertake general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and scheduling appointments
• Respond to client inquiries and deliver excellent customer service
• Monitor and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as requested by all departments
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Capability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) effectively
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately
• Proven experience in Bookkeeping is essential
• Strong Data Entry skills are necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Experience with Month End Close processes is required
• Ability to manage Payroll effectively
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks is essential
