This position reports to
Production Planning Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing material inventory to ensure efficient production processes. You will analyze demand forecasts, coordinate with suppliers, and collaborate with various departments to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing costs.
The work model for the role is onsite. #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in Senatobia, MS.
You will be mainly accountable for:- Analyze production schedules and demand forecasts to determine material requirements.
- Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of materials.
- Monitor and manage inventory turnover, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize ERP systems to track inventory levels, manage orders, and generate reports on material usage.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, material planning metrics, and trends for management review.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems, SAP preferred
- Advanced Excel skills using pivot tables, etc.
- Able to work with cross functional teams
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
