Overview:
Under the direction of the Finance operations Controller, the incumbent directs the operation of the cashier cages and bank functions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all federal tax and information reporting requirements.
- Ensure the integrity, maintenance and protection of the casino bankroll.
- Oversee the management of the cashier cages and banks.
- Support and provide feedback to the Finance Operations Controller and Vice President of Finance for all areas of responsibility.
- Act as liaison to External and Internal Auditors. Implement corrective actions and prepare responses to audit reports.
- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets for all areas of responsibility.
- Review monthly financial reports and explain budget deviations for all areas of responsibility.
- Assist operating departments with any accounting related procedural/control concerns and give guidance to the departments in formulating and implementing control procedures.
- Interview and hire team members; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and correct; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Develop department members’ knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching, corrective counseling, etc.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Conduct personal behavior and select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to best manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding guest service.
- Stay abreast of the current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and team member as appropriate.
- Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Performs all duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required along with five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in casino cage management in a similarly sized gaming operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors’ Degree in business preferred. Must hold or have the ability to obtain a Key license through the State of NJ.
