Extruder Operator

Job Summary: Set up, take apart, and operate extruders, fabrication, and auxiliary equipment for single, dual and tri-extension operations.

• Responsible for following all company safety policies and procedure and maintenance a safe, organized and clean work area. Also reports any safety policy violations or observed unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor or safety committee chairman
• Determines needed equipment for each product and sets up and runs parts to established specification and efficient standards
• Changes/adjusts operating conditions as necessary to maintain quality
• Fills hopper with specified material as required and maintains clean work area.
• Packs product/directs material handler to package as required
• Conducts product quality checks as required and completes paperwork legibly and in accordance with established procedures
• Trains new operator/material handlers as directed by the supervisor
• Operates grinder as required and performs other related duties as assigned
• Inspects, cleans, organizes, and maintains dies, calibrators, tooling, as directed
