Partner
We are searching for a Partner for a national firm's San Diego office. This Partner must be well-versed in commercial real estate loan documentation with experience in lender’s title insurance and land use matters.
Your key role will be to represent banks and financial institutions in commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on meticulously handling all necessary loan documents. You will also manage the review process with clients and borrowers, ensuring all documents are finalized and executed.Furthermore, your responsibilities will extend to real estate matters, such as title searches and liaising with title companies. You will also be expected to supervise the work of associates within the team.
Because this role is to replace a retiring Partner, the strong preference is for this new Partner to begin in December.
Responsibilities- Act as a representative for banks and financial institutions in commercial real estate transactions
- Review, finalize, and execute loan documents
- Prepare lender instructions for the title company and manage UCC search reports
- Oversee the work of associates and provide guidance as needed
- Protect the personal interest and property of clients through the preparation and filing of UCC warrants
- Manage the process of assignment of rent and securities agreements for commercial/industrial clients

- Applicant must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, specifically focused on loan documentation, ideally representing banks and financial institutions
- Active CA bar license and Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Ability to commute to downtown San Diego most days (please do not apply if you do not live in San Diego County - this practice group works mostly on-site and thus the role is not remote).
- Prior experience supervising associate attorneys
