Position Overview:

The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with differing backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission. We provide resources and support to the program departments to collectively pursue that mission.

The Finance Department is looking for a detailed-oriented, organized and accurate individual to join our Finance Team as an Temp to Perm Accountant. The selected candidate will report to the Manager of Accounting- Client Financial Services and will be responsible for working on monthly billing process and bank reconciliation.

The candidate in this role will be involved in preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and analyzing and ensuring the accuracy of data.

Job Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly billing confirmation for all S:US Properties within the Yardi Voyager system
  • Record third party payments against Social Security funds within Yardi
  • Maintain Payee information within Yardi
  • Create receipting for subsidies
  • Create and disseminate reports as needed interdepartmentally
  • Run reports within all systems based on programmatic needs
  • Maintain current and accurate listing for OPWDD residential tenants/
  • Assist in the monitoring of rent, personal needs allowance, and other ongoing or one-time bills for recipients of representative payee program

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or similar field or equivalent experience highly preferred
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (Pivot table and VLOOKUP – a must), Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in accounting or property management software preferred
  • Experience with and knowledge of Representative Payee services preferred but not required
