Accounting Clerk

We are in the healthcare industry and are currently searching for a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team located in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. This role is a short-term contract opportunity and involves a variety of responsibilities, including accounts payable and receivables, account reconciliation, billing, and data entry.

• Handle the processing of invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly
• Perform account reconciliations regularly to identify and resolve any discrepancies
• Manage billing processes, ensuring all charges are accurately billed and accounted for
• Perform data entry tasks, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize software such as Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel to carry out tasks effectively
• Monitor customer accounts, identifying any issues and taking appropriate action
• Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating information as necessary
• Assist in other accounting tasks as needed. • Proven experience in a similar role within the healthcare sector
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing
• Proficient in Data Entry
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
