We are in the search for a Controller to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role encompasses overseeing all business unit accounting activities, preparing financial statements, and managing customer service operations. The Controller will also be instrumental in sales and demand forecasting for the business unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.
  • Stay updated with organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies, directives, and current accounting standards.
  • Conduct or coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
  • Authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
  • Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of an organization.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
  • Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
  • Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure they align with internal policies and are in compliance with any applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Coordinate and conduct sales and demand forecasting activities and coordination with parent company. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience with Budget Processes
  • Ability to execute Month End Close tasks
  • Familiarity with Sales Forecast techniques
  • Knowledge of Inventory Forecasting
  • SAP software proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the finance sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation.
