Accounts Payable Specialist

Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity in Nampa, Idaho, for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in high-volume AP processing. This role plays a crucial part in financial operations, focusing on the management and maintenance of our accounts payable processes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Acumatica, or Spectrum is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process vendor invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and payment requests, ensuring proper documentation and coding.
• Undertake job costing tasks, meticulously allocating costs to corresponding projects to align with budgets and financial forecasts.
• Conduct reconciliations of invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and delivery receipts, promptly addressing discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable aging reports to guarantee timely processing of payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Maintain up-to-date vendor records, including payment terms, W-9s, and contact information.
• Utilize Spectrum software for inputting, tracking, and managing accounts payable transactions and job costing data.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments, providing clear and timely resolutions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reconciliations and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounts payable operations.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a must.
• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Familiarity with Check Runs is essential.
• Proficiency in Coding Invoices is required.
• Excellent Data Entry skills are needed.
• Experience in Invoice Processing is crucial.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is expected.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum software is preferred.
• Knowledge of Job Cost is necessary.
