The Security Specialist will support company facilities in their design and implementation of physical security technologies, program standards, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Life Safety and other regulatory requirements.
The Security Specialist will develop the skills and knowledge needed to assess and make recommendations to the internal and/or external environments of a facility that will increase crime deterrence and detection and reduce overall risk to the facility.This position will aid in being a vital link between physical security, facilities and design and construction elements throughout the company.
Quality- Lend support for all stakeholders regarding physical security technology placement/design and CPTED techniques.
- Ensure projects are supported while adhering to Physical Security equipment placement guidelines.
- Assist with the reviewing and revision of physical security policies and standards.
- Ability to manage challenging and wide-reaching decisions, address unique problems, and balance the interests of all appropriate stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills that foster strong working relationships across a large team and group of stakeholders.
- Survey and assess facilities to ensure program compliance.
- Collaborate with facility, division, corporate and external stakeholders in the development and execution of physical security design implementations and action plans.
- Recommend physical security design, best practices and/or enterprise solutions to all stakeholders that will promote the program’s growth and drive success.
- Assist and approve requests from facilities to implement additional security technology.
- Develops recommendations based on allotted project budget
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 5+ years of experience in a healthcare security, safety or emergency preparedness role with knowledge of CPTED principles and technology design best practices - Preferred
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:
- CPTED Certification or possess the ability to obtain one within 1 year of start date - Required
Travel Required:
- This job may require up to 25% travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
Work Location/Schedule:
- Nashville, TN area (near the airport)
- Hybrid: in office 2 days/week
